Ms. Lager in Action

Ms. Lager began her stint teaching with our Murray students this week. She is already making a great impression with the kids, and is very excited to be teaching here for a few weeks. With the 3rd graders, she is helping prepare the kids for their Smart Museum visits by looking at the SmARTKids web site, and discussing how recycled materials can make really great sculptures. She is asking students to bring empty boxes, old keys, egg cartons, etc. to Murray. The 4th and 5th graders are learning about printmaking. They are going to make a collograph and run the press in our room in order to pull their own print. The 6th graders are also doing printmaking, but they are going to cut their own relief prints. If you have a chance, stop in to see Ms. Lager and see what she is up to.

Also, I’m looking forward to being part of the Exchange City program on Monday. I went to the training last night, and it is truly fascinating. I look forward to seeing parents there.

Until next time…
