Message About Pictaps
One of the links I have showed students in class, Pictaps, is a very cool interactive web site. Unfortunately, some of the things that people post on here are not appropriate for children. I don’t think students should necessarily avoid using it, but students should be monitored when using it. Basically, the site allows you to draw characters and make them dance. Some of the things people draw are not appropriate. I would not suggest searching the other characters people have drawn. I would only use the site to draw characters and watch them. That is how we used this site in class. I apologize if this has caused any concern with people. It was not my intention to expose students to anything inappropriate.
